E.G. Geddes Inc. founder Elizabeth Geddes has been active in the flower trade for ten years. A California native, Elizabeth works from a love for the beauty of nature, finding inspiration in the mountains of Santa Cruz and Northern California, where she studied art before moving to New York City in 1998.
Elizabeth got her start in flower arranging under the tutelage of head designer Randi Costa at Takashimaya’s Christian Tortu Flower Boutique in New York City before moving on to Stonekelly, where she worked her way up to heading events and weddings over the course of three years. In 2004, she branched off to establish her own business.
Elizabeth works from her studio in Manhattan’s Flower Market to provide floral services in the New York City and tri-state areas and also travels for destination-specific events. She is a full service florist and is well versed in bridal work and decor elements. She brings a unique vision to all occasions, from large scale to intimate events, ranging from weddings to private parties to corporate events and also extending to private homes. Elizabeth’s style is bold, lush and textural with a distinctive blend of contemporary and classic elements and highly detailed attention to color.
Elizabeth approaches each commission as a new and distinct project, specifically suited to the individual client. Her hand-designed arrangements are unique, created with meticulous attention to detail. Elizabeth turns her full attention to each individual project, working cooperatively with clients in creating the best possible design for the occasion.
